The 1146A helped me eliminate points on my old Universal Atomic 4 sailboat engine forever!

Be careful during install...the magnetic ring is plastic and you can bang it on the distributor shaft too far.

Don't forget a new coil too to help complete the system, they are half the cost of the ignitor kit.
